| We the undersigned and Parenting in Cyprus petition the Cyprus Ministry of Health and Government to increase paid maternity leave for mothers in Cyprus from 18 weeks to a minimum of 6 to 12 months. This will give mothers a chance to breastfeed solely until at least the child is ready to eat solid foods. 18 weeks is not long enough and far too soon to have to leave your infant with other people, be it family or day care. Εμείς οι υπογράφοντες και η ιστοσελίδα Γονείς στην Κύπρο κάνουμε αίτηση στο Υπουργείο Υγείας και στην Κυπριακή κυβέρνηση να αυξήση την πληρωμένη άδεια μητρότητας για μητέρες στην Κύπρο από 18 εβδομάδες σε τουλάχιστον 6 η 12 μήνες . Αυτό θα δώσει μητέρες την ευκαιρία να θηλάσουν αποκλειστικά τα νεογέννητα τους μέχρι τουλάχιστον το παιδί είναι έτοιμο να φάει στερεά τρόφιμα. 18 εβδομάδες δεν είναι αρκετός χρόνος και πάρα πολύ σύντομα για να αφήσουμε το βρέφος μας με άλλα άτομα, οικογένεια ή σε βρεφικό σταθμό. |
